What we collect:

Contact Data: name, email address, phone number
Technical Data: IP address, browser type, cookie identifiers (cookies and analytics on our site, see Section 8)

How we collect it:

Web forms, business cards, email signatures, phone calls, SMS, in-person exchanges
Communications: SMS content, emails, and voicemail, through our Telus Business Connect VoIP/SMS platform

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information (government IDs, health or financial data, geolocation, and similar).

3. How We Use Your Information

Vendor and contractor communications (calls, emails, SMS): to perform or discuss work you have requested or to which you are a party.
Project updates and coordination: necessary for our operational efficiency and to fulfil contractual obligations.
Record keeping and compliance: to maintain accurate business records, comply with legal duties, and resolve disputes.

4. SMS / Text Messaging

If you voluntarily provide your mobile number and check the SMS-consent box (see Section 7), you agree to receive conversational, job-related text messages from Laser Pavement (for example, schedule confirmations, project updates, or quick questions).

We use Telus Business Connect to send and receive messages, and we do not sell, rent, or share SMS consent or phone numbers with any third parties for marketing purposes.

5. How We Share Information

We only share personal information as follows:

Internal personnel: employees and contractors who need it to do their jobs, all bound by confidentiality.
Service providers: secure cloud hosting, Telus Business Connect, and email and security vendors, solely to perform services for us and under data-protection agreements.
Legal compliance: courts, regulators, or law enforcement when legally required.

We do not disclose personal information (including SMS consent) to any third party for that third party's marketing.

6. Storage, Security & Retention

Data is stored in Canadian or U.S. cloud data centres with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access is role-based and logged. We keep records for as long as necessary to meet the purposes above or legal retention periods, then securely delete them.

7. Your Choices & Rights

Opt out of SMS: text STOP. Your number will be placed on our internal do-not-text list within 24 hours.
Access, correction, deletion: email info@lpsbc.ca or write to us. We will honour requests subject to legal exceptions.
Cookies: adjust your browser settings to reject or delete cookies (site functionality may degrade).

8. Cookies & Analytics

Our site uses first-party cookies and Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and improve the site. Cookies do not reveal your identity but may link to IP addresses. You can opt out via your browser or Google's opt-out add-on.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will change, and material changes will be highlighted for 30 days. Continued interaction after changes constitutes acceptance.
